American Idol 2005
Since the Fox network aired the first episode of American Idol, it has
become a huge success and one of the most watched events on television.
American Idol 2005 proved to be no less exciting than years past.
in this year was extremely fierce, and very close. As in previous years,
judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson were the head judges,
who make all of the final decisions. The 2004 competition was very intense,
with Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken coming in as the two finalists. Although
Studdard took home the title, Clay Aiken is still considered a very popular
artist. American Idol 2005 should be the same situation, and second place
winner Bo Bice is still extremely popular with fans. The 29 year old from
Helena, Alabama has already been on several performing tours, and has a
large and loyal fan base.
Of course, our winner of American Idol 2005 has created quite a stir as
well. The first place winner of the competition was 21-year-old Carrie
Underwood from Checotah, Oklahoma. Her down home style and humble attitude
were definitely contributions to her success. Underwood says she first
began singing in church at the young age of three. She also knows how to
play both the guitar and piano. She was chosen at the St. Louis Missouri
auditions, and worked her way all the way up to the finals. On the last
show, she sang three songs, including "Independence Day" and "Inside Your
Heaven." Carrie received a huge prize, a recording contract, which will
certainly lead to a great deal of fame and fortune. Her talents did not
go unnoticed on American Idol 2005, as she was often a favorite of the
judges right from the start. With all of the buzz surrounding this popular
show, who knows what the next seasons will bring. Everyone will just have
to tune in and wait to see what happens!
